Barnacle Cottage is the perfect holiday home situated in the heart of the popular fishing village of Flookburgh on the shores of Morecambe Bay from where the world famous potted shrimps are exported to the world.

The 300 year old stone cottage sleeps five. It’s got exposed stone walls and oak beams but it’s also been sympathetically modernised and kitted out with all the comforts of home to ensure a comfortable stay at any time of the year. Being situated close to all amenities in the heart of a working village it’s the ideal base from which to explore one of the loveliest areas of the Lake District around Windermere and Coniston with their well known beauty spots, literary associations, excellent walking and outdoor pursuits. There’s also some fine coastal scenery with a section of the Cumbrian Coastal path accessible from the front door!

Please note that the cottage is not suitable for very young children.
